Celebrating Mom on Her Special Day Minimize

A morning of activities, including reading, dancing and enjoying homemade goodies, was held in celebration of moms whose children attend the Breakaway Center.

A collaborative between DACCO and Champions for Children (formerly known as the Child Abuse Council) and funded by the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, the Breakaway Family Learning Center provides early childhood education, child care and parenting classes on-site.  The Center provides infants and children up to the age of 3 a curriculum rich in activities designed to ensure they are developmentally on track as they progress to kindergarten and beyond.

Many of the toddlers also created cards uniquely designed to express their love and appreciation for their mom.  Sinziana Bularca, the Center’s Director, commented “The energy and excitement between the moms and their children was so wonderful to watch.  Everyone really enjoyed the morning they were able to spend together celebrating mom on her special day!”
