A group of volunteers from Pender Newkirk and Company, a local CPA firm here in Tampa, recently spent the day building a clothing closet at DACCOs Mens Residential Treatment Center. This clothing closet provides men in treatment the opportunity to obtain professional and casual clothing, donated by companies and individuals, so that they can dress for success.
Due to their addiction, many of the men in treatment do not have the clothing they need to go on job interviews and start working, which is often a part of their treatment plans. The construction of this on-site closet has created an area where the donated clothing can be sorted and displayed so that the men can easily locate the items they need to start a new chapter in their lives. Charles Champion, one of the ten individuals who reached out to DACCO and supported this project, stated, Helping organizations such as DACCO helps us build a stronger, healthier, and more economically successful community for us all.
Thank you Pender Newkirk and Company for your support!
