Often, individuals with a substance use disorder often have a mental health issue as well, a condition referred to as dual diagnosis or a co-occurring disorder.  We recognize that an untreated mental health condition can make a person more vulnerable to substance abuse and, conversely, relapse can worsen a mental health condition.  Also, individuals often self-medicate with alcohol or drugs in an effort to address their anxiety or depression, , making it difficult to determine if the addiction or mental health issue presented itself first.  Our team of professionals, which includes a Board certified psychiatrist, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, and knowledgeable staff, will help manage you or your loved ones mental health and substance abuse simultaneously.
