HIV/AIDS Services

HIV Testing & Education

DACCO offers free and confidential HIV testing and education to the general public.  Walk-in HIV Testing is available Monday – Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at our Main Campus/B165 or by appointment, please call (813) 384-4004 or e-mailhivservices@dacco.org.

Testing is done via mouth swab or blood test and takes about 20 minutes (2 week test also available).  All testing and counseling are provided by trained staff that is sensitive to your needs and concerns.

DACCO supports and welcomes clients regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or biological sex, including but not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex clients. All services are provided in a respectful and professional manner.

Our other free services available to the general public include: Hepatitis C testing, free condoms, free information and linkages to other services for STDs.

High Impact Prevention Program (HIPP)

This new program specifically targets the prevention of new HIV cases in the African American community. We provide HIV testing and education as well as linkage to medical care and other resources for those living with HIV.  Please schedule an appointment today by calling (813) 384-4112 or by e-mail,hivservices@dacco.org.

Project Care

Our Project Care program offers regular support groups for those living with HIV/AIDS who also have co-occurring substance abuse issues.  We meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Please call for more information (813) 384-4029 or e-mailhivservices@dacco.org.
