Mary Lynn Edwards Ulrey

I am proud to lead the staff at the Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office, Inc., affectionately called DACCO. This award winning organization has been serving the community for more than 36 years and provides cutting edge treatment, not commonly found at not-for-profits. We are accredited nationally by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and licensed for 32 distinct programs by the Florida Department of Children and Families. I am amazed by the quality of professionals that surround me - they are experts in the field, culturally competent, and passionate about their commitment to enabling clients to achieve life-long recovery. My belief is that treatment should be engaging, there should be no "wrong door" when asking for help, and that many services should be available at the treatment site so that compromised individuals seeking our services should be supported by the array of available resources. We have brought together full day Child Care; Head Start; Nurturing Parent parenting education, Health Care from Tampa Community Health; HIV testing, services and food bank; Supported Employment and Vocational Counseling; Drug Testing; GED and work readiness training; and housing for those that complete treatment so that clients can get many services at one site. We are proud of those we have helped, though they did the work, and proud of those we will reach this year through our evidenced-based programs. Our vision is a drug-free community where we will all see a decrease in our community of crime, marital discord, child abuse and neglect, and other ills caused by this disease. I am touched by the numerous calls I receive as the CEO from people trying to help friends or family and by the Board of Trustees that never tires of serving this organization! Please use our website and links for information or just call us….we are here for you.
