Six month treatment program includes integrated co- occurring services utilizing the Minkoff Model. It is a modified therapeutic community. The women work during the last three months of their inpatient treatment and continue attending Aftercare services for six months following discharge from the inpatient program. Group counseling, individual sessions, life skills training, family education, and support group, and currently have a Seeking Safety module to address substance abuse and trauma issues.

This is the original non-secure program. The program now provides co-occurring services as part of the program. The length of stay is six months, followed by six months of aftercare services. Aftercare services are provided to clients who have completed a residential treatment program. Clients typically attend the program twice weekly for a six month period. There is a focus group utilizing the Seeking Safety modules for some women in Aftercare.

The BRITE program is an innovative partnership with community hospitals and medical practices designed to identify older adults, 55 and up, who may have problems related to misuse of alcohol, prescription medication, over-the-counter medication and illicit drug use. They may not have access to traditional services because they are socially isolated, home bound or due to other reasons. The program provides screening at the physician’s office or hospital followed by a comprehensive assessment and intervention to link the senior to appropriate level of services. BRITE specialists provide brief interventions and brief treatment specifically designed for the older adults, that are easy to understand and non-intrusive. These services are funded by a federal grant so there is no cost for the participants.
